At Distillery, our amazing employees are at the center of everything we do — And they deserve to have the spotlight!
In our “Meet Distillery” series, we introduce you to some of the talented experts who help us (and our partners) bring ideas to life.
Today, we’d like to introduce Artyom, Distillery’s Head of Android.
Artyom, Head of Android at Distillery
Tell us a bit about your background and your role at Distillery.
I’m head of the Android department at Distillery, and I have a rich engineering background. I have worked with internal and external teams, small and worldwide brands, and tried different roles and tech stacks.
What strengths do you bring to your role at Distillery?
Before joining Distillery, I managed an amateur football team. From that role, I gained more organization and communication skills. I work hard every day to provide the best service and experience for both internal and external customers. I currently manage a team of great engineers where we collaborate, experiment, and share our knowledge to achieve new horizons.
What attracted you to Distillery?
I have enjoyed the atmosphere at Distillery since the minute I arrived. Distillery is a people-oriented environment and has all the things I looked for in my ideal company.
What has been your favorite part about joining the Distillery team?
Joining a big company with an international culture and a new set of challenges have been my favorite parts.
What are you learning right now?
I’m interested in learning Rust. I’m not sure how far I’ll go, but the work is in progress!
How many cups of coffee/tea do you drink throughout a normal day?
I usually drink 4-5 cups of tea per day!
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I like to spend time with my family, play sports, and cook.
What TV show did you last watch?
The last show I watched was “Lie to Me”.
What is your ideal vacation?
I think my ideal vacation is one I would take to restore and not worry about work. Just those two things, and nothing more!
What languages can you speak?
I speak Russian and English! I tried Spanish, but it’s not my strongest skill.
What are a few words you’d use to describe yourself?
Some words that describe me are approachable/open (it’s easy to communicate with me!), organized, and positive.
