Charlotte, Global Head of Product Delivery at Distillery
Tell us a bit about your background and your role at Distillery.
I lead the Product Delivery practice at Distillery. Although I’m originally from Norway, my technology career began in London. As I moved to Chicago, it continued to develop, and most recently, expanded with my transition to Los Angeles. Within my role here, I leverage my background in business analysis and agile project management to optimize the value and velocity we deliver to our clients.
What strengths do you bring to your role at Distillery?
My strengths include my varied background, optimistic outlook, and my desire to keep evolving. Distillery is going through a lot of exciting change and I feel these traits equip me well to lead our teams to continued and new levels of success.
What attracted you to Distillery?
Although Distillery is relatively small, I was able to recognize their desire for someone who would help drive growth, whilst being ready for the change that comes with it. That, in addition to feeling a strong cultural alignment, is what drew me to the Distillery team.
What has been your favorite part about being on the Distillery team?
Without a shadow of a doubt, and at the risk of sounding cliche, the people are my highlight of working at Distillery. We laugh, challenge each other, support each other, and come together in meaningful ways to accomplish truly impactful change.
What do you wish more people would ask or talk to you about?
Even though the rise of digital has seen the tech world evolve a lot over the years, I still see a lot of companies overlook the value of investing in fully cross-functional teams. Roles like designers, product owners, and even QA continue to be deprioritized in favor of more engineers without fully understanding the impact this has on quality, velocity, and team morale. So, in short, I would love to see more product and technology leaders express higher levels of interest in restoring this balance.
Coffee or tea? How many cups in a normal work day?
Why choose when you can have both? I drink one cup of coffee in the morning and tea whenever I need to warm up or if I feel unwell.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Eating and drinking with my friends and loved ones, ideally in a new hotspot or on vacation.

What’s your secret talent?
I haven’t done this in a while, but my most popular party trick has to be the worm (backwards, for those of you wondering!). It doesn’t come out quite as often as my highschool days, but I still have it!
Favorite movie or TV show?
Not sure if it’s my favorite show, but I quote Friends A LOT.
Tropical paradise. Unlimited cocktails. Wild excursions.
What languages can you speak?
I speak Norwegian, English, and just enough French to string a few sentences together.
