At Distillery, our amazing employees are at the center of everything we do — And they deserve to have the spotlight!

In our “Meet Distillery” series, we introduce you to some of the talented experts who help us (and our partners) bring ideas to life.

Today, we invite you to meet Maureen, our VP of Sales!

Maureen, Vice President of Sales at Distillery

Tell us a bit about your background and your role at Distillery.

As the VP of Sales at Distillery, I lead sales and business development efforts, along with a team of field-based regional sales directors in the US.

I have over 15 years of experience in sales operations, business development, and have scaled the growth of high-performing sales teams. I have several years of experience in launching and growing new markets and leading teams to drive firm-wide growth. Prior to Distillery, I worked at North Highland, a global consulting firm. I started my career in professional services running a blended desk of sales and recruiting.

Given your work experience, what are your biggest strengths that you bring to your role at Distillery?

I’m passionate about building high performance teams. I’ve trained and developed regional sales teams for several years and love to see them succeed.

What attracted you to Distillery?

There are a few things that attracted me to Distillery. The people  — I work with a very talented team of individuals. The leadership — our leadership team is open to new ideas of doing things and empowering others. I also wanted the opportunity to build a national sales team that is going to kill it in 2021 and beyond!

What has been your favorite part about joining the Distillery team?

It has been fun and exciting building a national sales team!

Who do you look to for mentorship/inspiration?

Jeff Busch — he gave me an opportunity in consulting after several years in technical staffing. He hired me to open up the first hybrid staffing/consulting division for North Highland in Los Angeles. He was humble, kind, and empowered his team to do good work. Our success was his success. My favorite Jeff-ism that still guides me today is this: “I always want to work with people that I could consider a friend.”

Coffee or tea? How many cups in a normal work day?

Both! A cup of coffee in the morning is a must. Afternoon coffee or tea.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

I love spending time outdoors! Hiking, going to the beach, gardening, RVing & wine tasting!
