Distillery is seeking a Director of Delivery Technology which will involve the candidate to touch almost all aspects of the company. Key responsibilities will include leading and managing a global team of 300+ plus people poised to grow to 1,000+ in the near future, managing and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new customers, ensuring efficient and profitable software delivery operations. Candidates should be able to establish and cultivate growing software delivery teams while continually identifying new ideas with an eye on improving the customer experience and business success metrics.

Job Description

  • Leading, growing, and mentoring an enthusiastic team of 300+ high energy technology professionals and making them successful leaders.
  • Bringing strong technology leadership to drive high-quality work in the areas of custom software development and IT solutions.
  • Establish/use/improve the standard delivery methodology for delivering program goals (e.g. agile, iterative) while effectively using version control tools, Defect management tools, knowledge repository, and team collaboration tools.
  • Bring thought leadership to adopt new challenges and changes in the technology world and preparing the team to take on new frontiers as the business transforms with ongoing changes in demand.
  • Develop and influence the culture of continuous improvement of delivery methodologies.
  • Take ideas and concepts, and visualize them in ways such that they are communicated effectively and compellingly for internal leaders, partners, and customers.
  • Technical Leadership: the ability to inspire your teammates to deliver quality software solutions.
  • Lead as the strategic interface between the technology function and business functions to stimulate, identify, and shape technology demand and ensure that the potential business value is realized.
  • Be creative and innovative with regards to knowledge and awareness of industry trends and digital advances as they relate to new opportunities and business needs.

  • BS in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience is required.
  • 10 – 15 years of delivery leadership of complex projects is required.
  • 7+ years of experience with software implementation from requirements through design, development, user acceptance, and post-deployment is a strong plus.
  • Experience in managing global delivery team required.
  • Experience in Agile Program management is a strong plus.
  • Must have proven experience in leading large system integration efforts through completion.
  • Strong client interfacing background required.
  • Ability to estimate development work, if required, and also validate outputs from the development team.
  • Must have strong technical and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
