About the Position
An Account Manager is the face of our organization and is responsible for the retention and growth of our client accounts as well as making sure our clients receive the best possible customer service on a daily basis, while making sure internal processes to be able to achieve go to market execution are followed as per design. In this role, you will build relationships with key stakeholders with the goal of driving Distillery’s revenue forward. You’ll bring creative ideas, a self-starter attitude, and the ability to identify the best mutual outcome for our clients and Distillery.
Account Managers collaborate with the Sales Team & Client Partners during the client onboarding stage and become the primary point of contact for the client through the development lifecycle. They partner with the Delivery Team to identify risks and escalations, advise and communicate with the client, and resolve conflict. The Account Manager also provides clients with strategic insight, analyzes performance metrics, and advises on steps to grow the account.
Responsibilities
- Manage revenue responsibility of around 10M annually by developing a mix of existing and new accounts
- Manage, fulfill and surveil the staffing process from the internal and external perspective, making sure compliance is met in terms of platforms, contracts and overall checks and balances are reviewed before client assignments
- Participate in the preparation of solution proposals and statements of work
- Act as the main point of contact for each client for service related matters (escalations, upsells, ramp-downs, etc)
- Placement of delivery personnel; assure skills and seniority are aligned according to the delivery roadmap or client requirements
- Partner with the Sales and Client Partners to establish a continuous revenue strategy that enables proactive decisions and actions throughout the relationship lifecycle; including feedback on service quality and gathering individual engineer feedback from the client
- Manage revenue by driving billable hours and ensuring revenue goals are met
- Identify minimum and maximum ranges of billable time to maximize and ensure an adequate and consistent revenue stream
- Ability to apply oversight and governance for assigned client accounts to achieve margin targets

Qualifications
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
- 4+ years of experience in Account Management, Sales, or Business Development
- 3+ years of experience in the IT industry: software development, digital solutions, software services, IT staffing, IT consulting, and delivery methodologies
- Demonstrated track record of growing and retaining accounts and nurturing long-lasting partnerships
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines (sense of urgency)
- Solid project management and risk management skills and the ability to interact with several stakeholders across organizations
- Ability to digest and produce data-driven insights with a proven detail-oriented and organized approach
- Forecasting and P&L management experience
- Positive and proactive attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with ambiguity and the willingness to adapt
- Availability to work a two days per week in Mexico City’s office
- Builds stable relationships internally with supporting departments (Delivery, Recruitment, HR, Operations)
