About the Position

The Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating the Agile development process and ensuring the success of our software development/Maintenance/DevOps/DBA projects

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead Agile software development projects using Scrum methodologies.

  • Facilitate ceremonies: Daily stand-up meetings, Sprint planning sessions, Sprint retrospectives, Sprint demos.

  • Ensure that all team members are following Scrum/Kanban practices and principles.

  • Remove obstacles that are impeding the team's progress.

  • Ensure that all team members understand the importance of their roles and responsibilities.

  • Protect the team from outside distractions and interruptions.

  • Ensure that all team members are fully committed to the sprint goals.

  • Ensure that all team members clearly understand the sprint goals, deadlines, and backlog items.

  • After the sprint starts the Scrum Master is responsible for being on top of the dates and following up with devs/QAs to ensure the progress is on track.

  • Mentor and train junior roles.

 

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a Scrum Master role.

  • Strong understanding of Agile software development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team of software developers.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) is a plus.
