About the Position

As a Netsuite Engineer you will work on new technologies and find ways to meet our customers’ needs and make it easy for them to do business with us. You will be a part of a team to resolve a diverse range of complex problems and regularly lead multiple, technically complex, large-scale projects.

 

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy customizations, scripts, and workflows within NetSuite.

  •  Utilize SuiteScript, SuiteBuilder, SuiteFlow, and other NetSuite development tools to extend platform functionality.

  • Integrate NetSuite with third-party systems, applications, and APIs, and maintain integration solutions to ensure data consistency and seamless workflows across systems.

  • Oversee the administration and maintenance of the ERP system, ensuring data integrity, security, user access, roles, permissions, and system performance.

  • Develop ad-hoc reports to support specific business needs and decision-making, and design comprehensive financial reports and dashboards to provide insights into the financial performance of projects, departments, and the organization.

  • Provide ongoing support to end-users, including training as needed to increase user adoption and engagement with NetSuite's financial functionalities and reporting tools.

  • Partner with teams to understand business requirements and illustrate ways to leverage NetSuite to meet these requirements, implementing system and reporting changes to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.

  • Develop, document, and follow formal policies, procedures, and protocols for changes, customization, standards, and usage.

 

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, ensuring best practices and standards are followed.

  • Participate in sprint-related meetings such as standups, grooming, retrospectives, and roadmap replenishment.

  • Advocate for flexible, domain-driven solutions that balance expediency with long-term flexibility.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven experience with NetSuite, focusing on financial modules and functionalities within a professional services environment.
  •  3+ years of experience in developing workflows, saved searches, custom forms, and record types in NetSuite.
  • Proficiency with SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, SuiteBundler, SuiteCloud Development Framework, and Suitelets (both Front-End and Back-End).
  •  Expertise in NetSuite reporting tools (Financial Report Builder, Saved Searches, SuiteAnalytics) and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  •  In-depth knowledge of NetSuite configuration, customization, and administration, including workflows, forms, fields, roles, and permissions.
  • Experience with system integrations, implementations, data migration, and financial data analysis.
  • NetSuite certifications (Administrator, SuiteFoundation, SuiteAnalytics) and familiarity with Tableau and NetSuite scripting are considered an asset.
  • Strong skills in business requirements analysis, technical design, coding, testing, and implementation of customizations within software environments.
  • Excellent project management and business analysis skills, capable of understanding and translating financial and operational processes into system requirements.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working in agile/kanban teams, participating in sprints, continuous delivery, code reviews, and other aspects of the modern software delivery lifecycle (SDLC).
