About the Position

We are seeking a proficient Data Engineer with expertise in Security Engineering to join our team in the Media industry. The ideal candidate will excel at designing and maintaining secure, efficient data pipelines using SQL and Python, while leveraging AWS services such as S3, Airflow, Athena, and Redshift. This role focuses on ensuring data security and compliance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support our data-driven initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using SQL and Python, optimizing data flow with AWS services.
  • Security Compliance: Implement tailored security frameworks, conduct regular security reviews, and ensure adherence to AWS and client standards, focusing on data storage, processing, and sharing.
  • Infrastructure Enhancement: Utilize AWS CDK and CI/CD pipelines for scalable, secure systems; implement serverless solutions with Lambda and Fargate.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, ensuring data accessibility and providing technical guidance on security best practices.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer with a focus on security engineering.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and pipeline development.
  • Strong understanding of AWS services, including S3, Airflow, Athena, Redshift, Lambda, and Fargate.
  • Experience with AWS IAM roles, Secrets Manager, and permissions management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities.


Nice To Have

  • Experience with data governance and data quality frameworks.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation initiatives in the Media industry.
  • Knowledge of AWS CDK and CI/CD processes.
