PRICING IT RIGHT

HOW WE ESTIMATE TIME AND EFFORT

to help you know what to expect

Next, we’ll hold a collaborative Discovery Session with you. During that session, we’ll take a deep-dive into all the factors that go into
determining the scope of your project and ultimately providing you with an accurate quote and timeline estimate. The meeting will
include leads from Distillery’s Engineering and Product groups, so you’ll know you’re getting accurate information and feedback right out
of the gate. Putting your company’s business goals at the forefront, we’ll explore your vision for the app in depth and assess the key
scope factors impacting project pricing. Those factors include:

  • Platforms (iOS, Android, web). For which platform or platforms do you want to develop your product?
(Unless there’s an extremely compelling business case, we advocate a single-platform approach to start.)
  • Features. How complex does your product need to be out of the gate? Is there a long laundry list of
features and design elements that are required prior to product launch? Or will you add certain
features post-launch, once you’re able to assess product performance and feedback?
  • Integrations or other complex engineering tasks. Will your product leverage any external APIs or
SDKs to enhance its features? Are there any other complexities we need to plan for?
  • Timeline to launch. Do you have an open development timeline? Or is there a strict deadline for
launch? While we have a proven record of meeting accelerated timelines, doing so is more resource-
    intensive and thus costs more.
  • Your resources. What additional project personnel will you or your company bring to the table? For
example, do you have a technical lead or subject matter resource(s) aligned and ready to assist us?

Following the Discovery Session, your Distillery team, working clo sely with Distillery’s Engineering and Product leads, will lay out the
details of your product design and development path.
