About the Position

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Technical Writer to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a key bridge between business needs and technical execution. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into clear, actionable documentation, and help ensure that agile teams remain aligned and productive. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for data, documentation, and enabling teams through well-structured information.


Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, and maintain high-quality technical documentation including user guides, API references, and system manuals.
  • Create and maintain accurate and consistent data dictionaries across all data assets.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand complex data workflows.
  • Document Databricks workflows such as data pipelines, transformations, and integrations.
  • Update and manage content on SharePoint, ensuring all documentation is well-organized and accessible.
  • Ensure documentation follows internal policies and procedures (P&P) and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular audits and updates to documentation to reflect system and process changes.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on how to navigate and leverage technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in data or analytics environments.
  • Solid understanding of Databricks, including its core features and functionalities.
  • Experience creating data-focused documentation such as data dictionaries and supporting data governance efforts.
  • Proficient in using SharePoint for documentation and content management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively across cross-functional teams.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other data-related tools.
  • Experience documenting within Agile environments or contributing to Scrum ceremonies.
  • Background or interest in data governance and metadata management.
  • Experience with version control systems and technical illustration tools.
