About the Position
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer / Data Analyst for a hybrid role that blends data engineering with analytical insight. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills and experience in object-oriented programming, preferably using Scala or Python. This position requires someone who can thrive in a fast-paced environment, quickly learn new tools and technologies, and effectively troubleshoot data issues across systems. A solid understanding of data modeling, pipeline development, and the ability to communicate data-driven insights clearly are essential. Familiarity with tools like Databricks and Power BI is a plus, as well as experience with reverse engineering existing code and collaborating with client-facing teams to solve real-world data challenges.
Key Requirements:
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with object-oriented programming (Scala or Python preferred)
- Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools and technologies
- Good understanding of data modeling and pipeline development
- Experience (or willingness to learn) tools like Databricks and Power BI
- Solid analytical thinking and communication skills to understand and present data-driven insights
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot data issues across different systems
Nice to Have:
- Experience with reverse engineering: reading, understanding, and improving existing code and workflows
- Previous experience working with client-facing teams or directly solving client data problems
