About the Position

Distillery is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to drive the optimization of our data request and standardization processes. This role will focus on simplifying data acquisition, defining minimum viable datasets, and ensuring consistency through data normalization. You will play a critical role in delivering clean, usable data to product and consulting teams for real-time decision-making.


Responsibilities

  • Redesign and streamline the data request process to ensure minimal yet complete datasets.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify key data attributes required for analysis.
  • Clean, transform, and standardize ERP data (SAP, JD Edwards) for ingestion.
  • Develop processes to eliminate nulls, inaccuracies, and outliers.
  • Define and document Core Data Requests for reusable ingestion pipelines.
  • Work alongside engineers to ensure clean data flows from extraction to visualization.
  • Partner with Product Managers to align data structure with business goals.
  • Support engineers and scientists by validating normalized datasets.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of data processes, templates, and request standards.


Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in data analysis, with a strong focus on ETL and data normalization.
  • Solid experience with SQL for querying and transformation.
  • Proficiency in data wrangling and cleaning processes.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, JD Edwards) and knowledge of data attributes.
  • Ability to design and document scalable data request templates.
  • Familiarity with Excel for initial data extraction/cleaning.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to liaise effectively with both technical and business teams.


Nice To Have

  • Exposure to Palantir Foundry or similar big data platforms.
  • Experience with Power BI (validating and visualizing clean data).
