We’re excited to share that Distillery has been named an OpenAI Select Partner within the OpenAI Partner Network.

We’ve been investing heavily in AI over the past few years, both in how our own teams work and in the solutions we build for clients. Becoming an OpenAI Select Partner is an important next step in that work and gives our team more resources to help companies put AI to use in practical ways.

What is the OpenAI Partner Network?

The OpenAI Partner Network brings together companies with the technical experience and delivery capabilities to help organizations build and implement solutions using OpenAI technology.

As a Select Partner, Distillery will have access to additional OpenAI resources, training, technical enablement, and support as our teams continue building their expertise.

For our clients, that means we can work more closely with OpenAI while bringing the software engineering, data, product, and delivery experience we already use to solve complex technical problems.

Where Distillery fits in

There’s no shortage of interest in AI right now. The harder part for many companies is figuring out what to do with it.

A proof of concept can come together fairly quickly. Getting that same idea connected to your data, integrated with existing systems, adopted by users, and running reliably in production is a different challenge.

That’s the part we’re focused on.

Our teams can help companies identify where OpenAI technology makes sense for their business and then handle the engineering work required to make it useful. That might involve adding AI capabilities to an existing product, building an internal tool, automating a workflow, creating an AI agent, or connecting OpenAI models to company data and systems.

And sometimes the first step has very little to do with the model itself. A company may need to improve its data infrastructure, modernize an application, or rethink a workflow before AI can actually help.

We think those details matter.

Using AI in the way we build software

Our work with AI also extends to the way our engineering teams develop software.

Distillery uses OpenAI Codex models to build AI-supported frameworks around our development process, helping our engineers work more efficiently while maintaining the quality standards we expect from the code we deliver. AI can support engineers throughout development, from generating and reviewing code to testing, identifying potential issues, and handling repetitive work that would otherwise take time away from more complex engineering decisions.

The goal is to combine the speed AI can provide with the experience and judgment of our engineering teams. That allows us to increase development velocity without treating AI-generated code as finished work. Our engineers remain responsible for the architecture, quality, security, and final output, with AI serving as another tool to help them get there.

As Codex and other AI development tools continue to improve, we’re continuing to refine how we use them across our engineering workflows and where they can have the greatest impact for our teams and clients.

What this means for our clients

The partnership gives Distillery another way to support companies that are ready to move beyond experimenting with AI.

Our clients will be able to pair OpenAI technology with Distillery engineers who understand the broader environment it needs to work within, from applications and APIs to data infrastructure, QA, security, and user experience.

It also gives our team more opportunities to learn directly through OpenAI resources and technical enablement as the technology continues to evolve.

For companies that already have an AI project underway, we can help move it forward. For teams that know they want to use AI but aren’t sure where it makes sense yet, we can help figure that out too.

What’s next

We’ll continue investing in our AI engineering capabilities and working with clients to find practical applications for OpenAI technology.

There will always be a new model, tool, or AI capability to talk about. We’re more interested in what happens after that: how you take the technology and build something useful with it.

Becoming an OpenAI Select Partner gives us more resources to do exactly that.
