About the Position
Distillery is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join one of our FinTech clients. This person will play a key role in bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects through strong analytical capabilities and leadership. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in business analysis, preferably within the FinTech industry, and a deep understanding of Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban.
Responsibilities
- Engage with business users to analyze current and future needs, identifying overlooked technical or integration requirements.
- Translate complex business processes into technical requirements and recommend IT solutions.
- Lead collaboration with clients regarding technical specifications, with minimal assistance.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and facilitate discussions when needed.
- Demonstrate developed functionalities to stakeholders and manage expectations.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to other team members.
- Operate project management tools (e.g., Jira), making necessary workflow and configuration changes.
- Optimize delivery flow by addressing risks, dependencies, and issues appropriately.
- Represent the team in internal and external meetings, including high-stakes discussions.
- Promote continuous improvement and agile best practices across the organization.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in a technical environment.
- Previous experience in the FinTech industry.
- Strong understanding of software development, including system architecture and data modeling.
- Proficiency in querying databases and interpreting data.
- Solid experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum and Kanban).
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience configuring and managing Jira workflows.
- Comfortable facilitating discussions on high-risk and high-complexity topics.
- Ability to coach and mentor peers within cross-functional teams.
