About the Position

We are looking for a seasoned Software Development Engineer in Test (Sr. SDET) to join one of our FinTech clients. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates based in Latin America, preferably Mexico. You will play a key role in ensuring the highest quality standards across backend services and mobile applications. The ideal candidate is passionate about automation and eager to contribute to the speed and quality of product delivery through robust testing frameworks and collaboration with cross-functional teams.



Responsibilities

  • Develop test automation suites for microservices and integrate them into regression and release processes
  • Support releases by identifying and communicating issues promptly
  • Deliver tools to test integrations with third-party services (Payment Rails, SMS/Email, KYC, Analytics, etc.)
  • Integrate automated test execution into the software development lifecycle
  • Collaborate with Squad Leads and stakeholders on rollout strategies
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Data, Credit, Business Development) to identify automation opportunities
  • Maintain and improve existing frameworks, tools, and processes
  • Continuously explore new tools to enhance the test framework


Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in building test tools and frameworks using Groovy, Kotlin, Java, or Scala
  • Proficient with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and working in Linux/Mac OSX environments
  • Experience with BDD paradigms and frameworks (e.g., Spock, JBehave, Cucumber)
  • Solid knowledge of microservices architecture and automation
  • Agile development experience (Scrum or Kanban)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (GitHub, GitLab)
  • Experience in FinTech is a strong plus


Nice To Have

  • Experience in testing both backend and frontend services
  • Prior work in global, multicultural development teams
