About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer Consultant with extensive experience in strategic data solution engagements, focusing on healthcare. This role involves leading client projects related to data warehousing, ETL development, data integrations, and data modeling.

The role is pivotal in migrating and utilizing technologies such as Databricks and Azure and requires a strong client-facing presence, effective stakeholder management, and a commitment to transforming data into meaningful business outcomes.


Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and execute client-facing projects, taking full ownership of deliverables.
  • Communicate directly with internal and external stakeholders to provide project updates and identify impediments.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Lead the implementation of multiple ETL/ELT pipelines with a focus on efficient data transformation.
  • Mentor junior data engineers, supporting their professional growth and contribution to projects.
  • Manage small to medium-sized data warehousing projects, occasionally acting as the engagement lead.
  • Develop solutions for real-time data processing and manage streaming data.
  • Implement security and compliance protocols for data management.
  • Design and oversee the integration of version control systems into CI/CD pipelines.


Requirements

  • Expert-level SQL skills and proficiency in Python or Scala.
  • Ability to model data warehouses and data lakes using industry best practices, including lakehouse medallion architecture and Type 1 and Type 2 Kimball patterns.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in data engineering and big data solutions, with at least 2 years in a client-facing role within professional services.
  • Proven expertise in deploying data pipelines and data warehousing solutions, particularly using Databricks.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, database design, and version control techniques.
  • Experience designing scalable and fault-tolerant data architectures across Azure, AWS, and Databricks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
