About the Position

Distillery is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer (Python / React) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, improving, and maintaining scalable products used by a growing user base.

You will primarily work with Python on the backend and React/TypeScript on the frontend, collaborating with a passionate team of engineers to develop high-quality software solutions in a fast-paced product environment.


Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, QA, and designers to deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python.
  • Build and deliver user-facing features using React and TypeScript.
  • Document, develop, refactor, deploy, and operate APIs and internal services
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with QA and Support teams to investigate issues, fix bugs, and identify performance bottlenecks.
  • Optimize and enhance existing systems to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Participate in the technical design process and contribute to architectural discussions.
  • Ensure system security and data integrity through best practices such as authentication, authorization, and encryption.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and share knowledge across the team.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in backend and fullstack development.

Requirements


  • 5+ years of experience as a Fullstack Engineer
  • 3+ years working in a product-driven environment
  • Advanced English
  • Strong experience with Python web frameworks such as Django or FastAPI
  • Experience building user interfaces with React and TypeScript
  • Experience debugging and maintaining production systems
  • Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
  • Experience working with relational databases
  • Knowledge of system architecture and system design
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior engineers
  • Ability to lead complex technical projects
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new frameworks and technologies
  • Strong commitment to delivering high-quality, maintainable code
  • Experience following engineering best practices
  • Availability to collaborate with teams in US time zones


Nice To Have

  • Experience with Java or Spring Boot
  • Experience working with AWS or GCP
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience designing or operating distributed systems / microservices
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines
