About the Position

Distillery is seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Marketing Director to lead marketing for our professional services business, with a strong focus on data services. This person will help shape how Distillery positions its capabilities in the market, supports pipeline generation, and enables closer alignment across sales, delivery, and leadership.

This role goes beyond brand and events. It requires someone who can turn complex service offerings into clear market messaging, focused campaigns, and practical go-to-market execution. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Marketing Director will lead a lean marketing team and help Distillery build repeatable marketing support for revenue growth. This role will also help shape and scale Distillery’s account-based marketing and account-based experience efforts across priority accounts and strategic growth areas.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the marketing strategy for Distillery’s professional services business, with emphasis on data services.
  • Partner with leadership to define positioning, messaging, and go-to-market priorities for key service lines.
  • Establish clear KPIs tied to pipeline contribution, campaign effectiveness, and marketing support for revenue objectives.
  • Help bring greater focus and consistency to how Distillery presents its services to the market.

Demand Generation & Go-to-Market Execution

  • Design and run targeted marketing initiatives that support pipeline creation for high-value accounts and priority offerings.
  • Translate complex technical and consulting capabilities into clear, compelling marketing programs and sales-enablement assets.
  • Build campaigns and content that support the buyer journey across awareness, consideration, and conversion.
  • Use data and market feedback to refine messaging, targeting, and campaign performance.
  • Develop and support targeted ABM/ABX programs for priority accounts, in partnership with sales and SDR teams.
  • Help create more personalized marketing motions for strategic accounts, aligning messaging, outreach, and campaign execution to account priorities.

Sales & Delivery Alignment

  • Work closely with sales leadership and internal subject matter experts to ensure marketing efforts reflect market opportunities and service capabilities.
  • Partner cross-functionally with delivery and operational leaders to turn internal expertise, client outcomes, and case studies into market-facing content.
  • Support GTM efforts with practical materials, campaign direction, and positioning that help the commercial team create momentum.

SDR Leadership & Commercial Coordination

  • Lead and support the SDR team, ensuring outbound efforts, account prioritization, and messaging are aligned with Distillery’s go-to-market strategy.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to improve top-of-funnel performance, campaign follow-up, and conversion from outreach to qualified pipeline.
  • Help define outreach themes, segmentation, and coordination between SDR activity and broader marketing initiatives.
  • Establish clear KPIs for SDR performance, in alignment with pipeline generation goals.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Lead and develop a lean marketing team, creating clarity, accountability, and execution discipline.
  • Provide direction across campaign planning, content creation, events, and external vendor support.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships where needed.
  • Foster strong collaboration across sales, delivery, operations, and leadership.

Brand Development & Positioning

  • Strengthen Distillery’s positioning as a trusted partner in technology and data-related professional services.
  • Oversee creation of high-quality content, messaging, and collateral that resonate with target buyers.
  • Ensure brand and campaign work support commercial goals, not just awareness.

Performance & Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics and campaign outcomes.
  • Provide actionable reporting and recommendations to leadership.
  • Continuously improve marketing effectiveness based on pipeline impact, engagement, and business priorities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong experience in professional services marketing; experience in consulting, technology services, or similar service-led businesses is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to market complex offerings with long sales cycles and consultative buying processes, including experience with targeted **ABM/ABX** or account-based motions.
  • Experience working closely with sales teams to support pipeline generation and go-to-market execution.
  • Strong understanding of CRM, marketing automation, and performance measurement tools (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Analytics).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and internal subject matter experts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing data, analytics, AI, cloud, or digital transformation services.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or related data ecosystems.
  • Experience building content and campaigns for technical or consulting-led services.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn Campaign Manager, event tools, and B2B demand generation best practices.
