Distillery is embracing the future of technology by launching an ambitious AI Training Program. This initiative aims to equip all employees with a robust understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI), ensuring they are well-prepared to leverage AI’s transformative potential. By embedding AI literacy across all levels of the organization, Distillery seeks to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, ultimately driving enhanced business outcomes and maintaining a competitive edge in the industry.
The AI Training Program is not just a training exercise; it represents a strategic investment in our people and our future. AI is poised to revolutionize various aspects of our business, from streamlining internal processes to delivering cutting-edge solutions for our clients. Recognizing this, Distillery has designed a comprehensive program that addresses the diverse needs of our workforce, ensuring that every employee, regardless of their role, can contribute to and benefit from our AI initiatives.
What is the Distillery AI Training Program?
The Distillery AI Training Program is a strategic framework designed to equip internal teams with essential AI skills. This empowers them to help clients identify and leverage AI opportunities in their digital products and services.
By fostering a full, AI-literate workforce, Distillery aims to drive industry transformation through the development of safe and reliable next-gen AI solutions.
How is the AI Training Program structured?
The program is broken up into two different pillars based on roles and responsibilities:
- Back Office/Non-Engineers: This group consists of employees not directly related to engineering. They include HR, Recruitment, Marketing, Sales, Finance and Operations.
Everyone in the company is required to have completed training and certifications for AI literacy, which demonstrates an understanding of AI technology fundamentals.
“Distillery’s AI Fundamental training empowers internal teams to pinpoint opportunities for AI-driven initiatives to produce faster outputs and the best quality of work.”
– Tomas Calusio, Director of Operations at Distillery
- AI Engineers/Developers and Tech Leaders: This group includes all engineers, including those who work in data engineering, data science, design, QA, product management, and software development.
Employees in this group are responsible for additional AI training and certifications based on their roles and involvement in AI projects with our clients. This advanced level empowers our engineers to spot AI opportunities, tackle intricate project challenges, and offer leadership and guidance to our clients and partners across various industries.
“The AI Advanced level enables our engineers to acquire complex AI skills while maintaining their primary technical expertise and gain advanced AI skills to enhance their existing capabilities.”
– Jonathan Roitman, Head of Technology Delivery at Distillery
What are the benefits of creating an official internal training program for AI?
The Distillery AI Training Program will allow us to:
- Collaborate with Operations and tech leadership to define a set of learning priorities by vertical.
- Identify potential local mentors from QA, Product, Mobile, and Web teams who will share their skills throughout the organization as well as lead new AI initiatives.
- Ability to provide our clients with the latest AI technology to assist with the discovery, development, and delivery of client projects.
What is the goal of Distillery’s AI Training Program?
The program targets achieving 100% AI literacy across Distillery’s US and LATAM workforce by the end of 2024. By meeting this goal, Distillery can provide two key benefits:
- Clients gain confidence, knowing they have a highly skilled team with the expertise needed to develop transformative AI solutions.
- Internal teams are empowered to integrate basic and advanced AI capabilities into their daily tasks, accelerating their work.
“It’s always been evident that fostering a community of AI-literate individuals enhances our adaptability to the evolving technical and business landscape. Thus, despite its complexity, cultivating AI literacy across the organization remains one of our key strategic goals.”
– Andrey Kudievskiy, Distillery Founder and CEO
What does the future hold for Distillery’s AI Training Program?
The AI Training Program, much like AI itself, is designed for continuous evolution. Throughout the year, Distillery will engage in meaningful discussions with all of our valued clients to assess the program’s effectiveness and their understanding of AI’s potential value for their projects.
