Introduce yourself, your background/expertise, and your position at Distillery
Hi all! I’m Cristina, and I’m part of the Operations team at Distillery. I’m based in Mexico and I have 5 years of experience in the tech industry. I started working at Distillery as a Client Success Manager and transitioned into an ops role almost one year ago.
I’m very happy to have had the opportunity to grow in a different area and apply my commercial knowledge in my current role. As an Operations Lead, I’m able to manage different initiatives at Distillery – this experience has been very enriching as I have had the chance to learn about different processes and lead diverse teams.
Given your work experience, what are your biggest strengths that you bring to your role at Distillery?
My ability to adapt and deal with uncertainty. I believe these skills are must-haves in a constantly changing industry like technology.
What attracted you to Distillery?
The fast-paced environment, professional growth, and the authenticity of the people I work with.
What has been your favorite part about being on the Distillery team?
Working with people with different backgrounds! Having a diverse team enriches our way of working – I have learned a lot from my team members, both professionally and personally.
What’s your secret work-related “pet peeve” related to your role/industry that doesn’t really matter but drives you crazy?
The different ways to pronounce SQL, haha! Some people spell it letter by letter, others just say the word… I do both.
Coffee or tea? How many cups in a typical workday?
I love both but I’d have to choose coffee. I drink around 3 cups in a typical workday.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love going out for a walk in the nearby parks and exercising. I also love reading and listening to music (any kind!)
