About the Position

Distillery is seeking an experienced WordPress Developer with a strong front-end focus to lead several active and upcoming projects. This role is ideal for someone passionate about custom WordPress themes, API integrations, and collaborating with design and strategy teams, while operating in an AWS Elastic Beanstalk and Atlassian Jira environment.


Responsibilities

  • Lead WordPress redesign and site refresh projects, building and implementing updates based on provided mock-ups.
  • Develop and style pages using Elementor and/or custom WordPress themes.
  • Integrate three third-party APIs into the WordPress backend dashboard.
  • Handle small customizations, including form integrations, Google Analytics setup, and performance tuning.
  • Maintain and upgrade existing WordPress sites, ensuring long-term platform stability and performance.
  • Collaborate with the internal design team to support smooth design-to-development handoffs.
  • Optimize front-end performance, ensuring an exceptional user experience.
  • Write responsive, accessible, and standards-compliant code.


Requirements

  • 10+ years of WordPress development experience.
  • Strong front-end skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Solid experience with custom WordPress theme development.
  • Proficiency with Elementor and other page builders.
  • Proven ability to integrate third-party APIs into WordPress platforms.
  • Comfort working within AWS Elastic Beanstalk and Atlassian Jira environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently with attention to detail.


Nice To Have

  • Experience with performance optimization tools.
  • Knowledge of SEO and analytics integration best practices.
  • Background in accessibility and inclusive design standards.
