About the Position
We are looking for a Jr. QA to join our team and work with a fintech client on a long-term project. This is a fully remote position open to candidates based in Argentina or other LATAM countries. This role is ideal for individuals beginning their careers in testing who are eager to build a strong foundation in software testing practices. The ideal candidate has initial professional experience in testing, preferably holds a degree in a software-related area, and is comfortable communicating in English at a B2 level or higher.
Responsibilities
- Execute test cases based on defined requirements and user stories
- Identify, report, and track bugs using established tools and processes
- Collaborate with Testing team members, developers, and product owners to understand functional requirements
- Assist in maintaining clear test documentation
- Contribute to exploratory testing efforts when needed
- Participate in team meetings such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Required Qualifications
- 0–2 years of professional experience in software testing
- Knowledge of manual testing principles, including test case creation and defect reporting
- Degree (or studies) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban)
- Experience using issue trackers and test management tools such as Jira or TestRail
Nice to Have
- Experience working with English-speaking clients
- Background or familiarity with the Fintech industry
- Understanding of APIs and experience with tools like Postman
- Basic knowledge of at least one programming language
- Understanding or experience with test automation
