About the Position


We are looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with strong expertise in Python and Playwright. This role requires a strategic mindset to design scalable test automation frameworks capable of addressing complex, data-driven challenges. The ideal candidate will apply a product-oriented approach, ensuring end-to-end validation of systems through comprehensive test coverage, advanced data validations, and integration into CI/CD pipelines.


Responsibilities


  • Design, architect, and implement a robust test automation framework using Python and Playwright.
  • Define comprehensive test scenarios through permutation matrices, covering complex field/value combinations.
  • Develop approaches for data mocking and perform schema validation to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Apply contract testing methodologies and perform automated testing of REST APIs and data pipelines.
  • Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution and seamless development integration.
  • Accurately document, report, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Partner with stakeholders, managers, and team members to align on requirements, risks, and testing strategies.
  • Apply a product-oriented mindset to ensure test coverage aligns with business challenges and workflows.


Requirements


  • 7+ years of professional experience in Software Testing / SDET roles.
  • Proven expertise in Python and Playwright for test automation.
  • Strong background in requirement analysis, data mocking, and schema validation for complex systems.
  • Experience designing test strategies and automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Proficiency in API testing and data validation at scale.
  • Familiarity with contract testing practices and tools.
  • C1 English level: excellent written and verbal communication skills for international collaboration.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to structure complex testing challenges into executable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-driven.


Nice To Have


  • Experience with advanced contract testing frameworks.
  • Background in Fintech or data-intensive domains.
