About the Position
We are seeking a skilled Financial Data Analyst with deep expertise in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our team. This role combines financial acumen with advanced data analytics capabilities to drive strategic decision-making through comprehensive financial reporting and analysis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with enterprise financial systems, particularly SAP and Oracle financial modules, and possess the technical skills to extract, transform, and analyze complex financial data. You ll be responsible for creating insightful reports that support executive decision-making while building scalable data solutions for our growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Develop comprehensive financial reports, dashboards, and analysis using data from SAP Financial modules (FI/CO), Oracle Financials, and other enterprise systemsÂ
- FP&A Leadership: Lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and monthly/quarterly financial close processes with data-driven insightsÂ
- Data Integration: Extract and consolidate financial data from multiple sources, including SAP, Oracle, Excel, and other financial systems, to create unified reporting frameworksÂ
- Advanced Analytics: Perform complex financial modeling, trend analysis, and scenario planning to support strategic planning initiativesÂ
- Database Connectivity: Connect to and query data warehouse systems to access consolidated financial data for enhanced reporting capabilitiesÂ
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Executive teams to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insightsÂ
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and enhance data quality across financial reporting systems
Requirements
- SQL experience with the ability to write queries and connect to database systems for enhanced data analysisÂ
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or similar)Â
- Knowledge of Python or R for advanced statistical analysisÂ
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, Power Query, and financial modeling
- Experience with SAP and Oracle data extraction and reporting tools
- Strong database and data analysis capabilitiesÂ
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related quantitative field; CPA, CFA, or advanced degree preferredÂ
- FP&A Experience: 3+ years of hands-on Financial Planning & Analysis experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisÂ
- ERP Systems Expertise: 3+ years of experience working with SAP Financial modules (FI/CO/PS) and/or Oracle Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA)Â
- Financial Systems: Deep understanding of the chart of accounts, general ledger, cost centers, profit centers, and financial statement preparation
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutionsÂ
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-technical stakeholders
