About the Position

Distillery is seeking for an AI Application Developer to help build production-ready, full-stack AI solutions that connect consumers with automotive services. You’ll work with React, TypeScript, Node and Model Context Protocol (MCP) to develop real, transaction-driven interfaces. Ideal candidates have +5 years of experience, strong full-stack skills, and a passion for building AI-first, agentic applications in fast-moving environments.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production-ready AI applications using React for frontend interfaces, Node.js/TypeScript for backend services, Model Context Protocol (MCP) for AI integrations.
  • Build and operate MCP servers that connect automotive retail services with AI agents.
  • Design and implement consumer-facing React interfaces (MCP-UI) capable of handling real financial or transactional flows—not prototypes or demos.
  • Contribute to the architecture of distributed systems with a focus on reliability and scalability.
  • Apply AI-first development principles, integrating agentic frameworks into real-world applications.
  • Collaborate in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment characteristic of early-stage product development.
  • Ensure high-quality user experiences through thoughtful design and performance-focused implementation.

Requirements

  • +5 years of experience in full-stack web or mobile application development.
  • Strong command of Node.js / TypeScript, React.
  • Proven experience in production-grade software development and operations.
  • Solid experience in backend API design and implementation.
  • Understanding of the Model Context Protocol (MCP) architecture.
  • Familiarity with agentic frameworks and an AI-first development mindset.
  • Experience with distributed system architectures.
  • Experience delivering consumer-facing applications with a focus on user experience.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience with agentic system development.
  • Previous experience in MCP server development.
