About the Position

We are looking for a Senior Python Backend Developer to join a leading company in the insurance and risk-management industry. In this role, you will design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services capable of handling large-scale data processing. You will work with FastAPI, AWS cloud services, and modern data-processing tools to develop robust systems that support critical business operations.

As part of a collaborative and fast-paced engineering team, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of APIs, cloud-native solutions, and microservices architectures. Your expertise will be key in driving innovation and ensuring seamless integration with industry standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and support microservices architectures.
• Build and optimize cloud-based solutions using AWS (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, EC2, etc.).
• Process and manage large-scale data pipelines using Pandas, NumPy, and other relevant tools.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of backend systems.
• Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and data engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to architecture discussions, best practices, and continuous improvements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Python.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI and RESTful API design.
• Proficiency with AWS services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, EC2).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with data-processing libraries such as Pandas and NumPy.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in an agile environment.

Nice To Have

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows or data-driven automation.
