About the role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to design, build, and scale the cloud infrastructure that powers client’ AI-driven platform. In this role, you will own deployment pipelines, data infrastructure, and operational reliability for a system that processes millions of data points daily. You will work closely with forward-deployed engineering teams in a small, high-agency environment, taking full ownership of infrastructure decisions and implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, including AKS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Event Hubs, and related services
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
  • Architect secure, multi-tenant environments for enterprise-grade deployments
  • Manage containerized workloads and Kubernetes clusters for AI agent services
  • Build and optimize data-intensive pipelines for large-scale batch and real-time processing
  • Integrate multiple data sources such as revenue management systems, pricing systems, BI platforms, and external APIs
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and repeatable deployments
  • Improve developer experience through self-service tooling, automation, and deployment best practices
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure platform reliability and observability
  • Define and track SLIs and SLOs, lead incident response, and drive post-mortem and reliability improvements
  • Implement security best practices, manage secrets and access controls, and support enterprise security and compliance requirements such as SOC 2

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including AKS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Azure Functions, Event Hubs, and Key Vault
  • Proven experience working with data-heavy workloads such as ETL pipelines, data lakes, streaming systems, and large-scale batch processing
  • Solid experience with containerization and Kubernetes in production environments
  • Advanced Infrastructure as Code experience, preferably using Terraform
  • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Experience supporting ML or AI platforms, including model serving or data pipelines, is a plus
  • Familiarity with Spark, Delta Lake, or Databricks-based data platforms is a plus
  • Strong ownership mindset, systems-thinking approach, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
