About the Position

We are seeking a highly experienced QA Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in backend testing and solid experience in test automation.

The selected candidate will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of solutions used by airline companies, contributing to scalable and robust systems within a Fintech environment. This position also involves evolving testing practices through automation, requiring a proactive mindset and strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, prioritize, and execute test cases.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and define test coverage.
  • Perform comprehensive backend testing, focusing on REST APIs and database validation.
  • Validate both functional and non-functional requirements, including performance testing.
  • Conduct Regression Testing and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Identify, document, and report bugs with clarity and precision.
  • Communicate testing results effectively through meetings and detailed reports.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as refinements, planning, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct risk assessments and root cause analyses.
  • Improve defect triaging processes and strengthen test coverage strategies.

Test Automation Responsibilities

  • Evaluate automation feasibility across different product areas.
  • Identify optimal layers for automation to improve efficiency and robustness.
  • Define and communicate the test automation strategy.
  • Lead the implementation of automation initiatives.
  • Present progress and results of automation efforts to stakeholders.
  • Mentor and guide team members in adopting automation practices.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on backend testing.
  • Proven expertise in REST API testing and database validation.
  • Solid experience designing and implementing test automation strategies.
  • Background in the Fintech industry.
  • Strong experience working with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Deep understanding of QA processes, tools, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience working with distributed remote teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to manage priorities effectively in fast-paced environments.
  • Advanced English level (B2/C1) with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Alternative Forms of Payments testing.
  • Hands-on experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, K6, or BlazeMeter.
