Our exceptional team members are the driving force behind all that we do at Distillery, and they truly deserve recognition!

In our “Meet Distillery” series, we introduce you to some of the talented experts who help us (and our partners) bring ideas to life.

Today, we’d like to introduce Devon, one of our HR Managers!

Introduce yourself, your background/expertise, and your position at Distillery

Hi! I am Devon Blumeyer,  the United States Human Resources Manager for Distillery. I started my career in Human Resources about eight years ago and I love it. I am passionate about people as they are the heart of any organization and without great people there would be no successful business. . My experience ranges from managing employee benefits, recruiting, onboarding, leading performance management cycles and implementing and running payroll systems.

My husband and I currently reside in Jacksonville, Florida where we love to play tennis, go out on the boat and play with our West Highland Terrier puppy, Fletcher. I also enjoy volunteering and am active in the Junior League of Jacksonville.

Given your work experience, what are your biggest strengths that you bring to your role at Distillery?

One of my greatest strengths is being a people-person. I’ve always had the natural ability of sitting down and talking to anyone and everyone in the room. I really love talking with people and hearing about what’s important to them. This is vital in my role as I partner with leaders to role out initiatives that matter to our global teams.

What attracted you to Distillery?

The opportunity to be creative and collaborate with a global team.

What are some skills or topics you’re learning about right now?

I am currently studying for my PHR certification.

Coffee or tea? How many cups in a typical workday?

Coffee! One, but maybe two depending on on the day.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Living in Florida allows me to spend a lot of time on the tennis court. I grew up playing and it is one of my favorite hobbies.  My husband and I are also big foodies and enjoy trying new restaurants in the Jacksonville area. We have a great food scene here.
