Today, we’d like to introduce one of our talented full-stack web developers, Ricardo!

Ricardo, Full-Stack Web Developer at Distillery

Tell us a bit about your background and your role at Distillery.

I’m a full-stack Java and Angular developer. I’ve spent 8+ years as a developer on various projects and in different roles. At Distillery, I’m an Angular Web Developer.

What are your biggest strengths that you bring to your role at Distillery?

Some of my strengths include being able to provide a clear overview of the client, communicating actions that should be taken, and identifying opportunities. That said, I think my biggest strength is communication.

What attracted you to Distillery?

The challenge of being able to work with clients using my English language skills, and the possibility of using different technologies in a variety of projects.

What’s the best environment for you to code in?

In my house, which is where I find tranquility and comfort.

What do you do to get “unstuck” on a difficult problem or bug?

I first analyze the priority and urgency of it. I then find the causes of the bug, and from there, I think of possible solutions to solve it.

How many cups of coffee/tea do you drink in a normal day?

Two — one in the morning, and one in the afternoon.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

Outside of work, I enjoy woodworking — I restore and build wooden objects such as furniture or metal.

Traveling to places where I can enjoy the outdoors!

What languages can you speak?

I’m a Native Spanish speaker and I can speak basic English.
