About the Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Node.js Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in backend development, microservices architecture, and cloud-based systems.

The selected candidate will play a key role in designing and building scalable, high-availability systems within the fintech domain. This position requires a strong focus on performance, reliability, and low-latency solutions, as well as close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient products.

Additionally, this role encourages the active use of AI-powered development tools and assistants to support solution design, code generation, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures.
  • Develop systems with high availability and low latency requirements.
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to define and deliver solutions.
  • Participate in architectural decisions and apply best practices in system design and integration patterns.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Work within AWS environments, leveraging cloud-native services.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability.
  • Actively leverage AI tools and development assistants to enhance productivity and solution quality.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience working with Node.js.
  • Strong experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes, with and without containers.
  • Proven experience building and maintaining REST APIs.
  • Experience developing high-availability, low-latency systems.
  • Practical knowledge of payments ecosystems, particularly acquiring or issuing.
  • Experience working with AWS services such as Lambda, EKS, ECS, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, and DMS tools.
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns and system design principles.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with promotions systems or payment processors (acquirers).
  • Exposure to large-scale fintech environments.
  • Experience with additional cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
