SEPTEMBER 2021 BEGAN RELATIONSHIP
TEAM GREW FROM 4
TO 20 DISTILLERY MEMBERS
In September 2021, our collaboration commenced, marking the beginning of a significant partnership. Over time, our team grew more than 3x, expanding from 4 to 20 dedicated Distillery members. Distillery’s 20 engineers make up 5 different teams that work with this industry leader on all of their existing applications and new services.
Challenge
To remain PCI compliant and maintain a strong infrastructure, our client made the decision to migrate to a new, more mature, cloud-based platform. Migrating to TNS would enable the organization and its engineering teams to work in a more up-to-date environment while keeping their work secure and compliant. Moving all legacy systems over and ensuring that everything was still working correctly would be a large undertaking for the teams.
Value Delivered
The teams created development, QA, and production environments in which to work. In addition, they also created a fallback system in case it was needed. After months of careful work, the migration was ready to complete. The new platform will allow the Fintech leader to operate in one ecosystem that will keep them secure and compliant.
Challenge
Similar to a bank, the company processes thousands of transactions every day. This equates to millions of records that are moving through their systems on any given day. As would be expected, errors can happen. In one particular incident, an issuer had missing data that could have resulted in account balances being off.
Value Delivered
With their Distillery partnership, the team was able to help identify and fix this issue immediately. The teams all committed to prioritizing their work and putting in the extra time to ensure that everything was fixed and that new checks and balances were put in place moving forward, exemplifying how the Distillery engineers work directly with their team to go above and beyond and deliver top-quality results.
Challenge
This Fintech leader wanted to add in new merchant offers to clients. To do this, the organization would need to build a system for cardholders to use these merchants. When Distillery began working on the project, there was some initial code created, but more work was needed.
Value Delivered
There were many moving parts to the project of adding new merchants. Distillery had to take all of the information from the merchants, invoices, and partners, and combine them into one file that the main issuers could use. Code was rebuilt, reviewed, and tested with live clients. The team continues to monitor and roll out the feature enhancements to more clients.
